A truck carrying a herd of pigs skidded off the highway and landed in a ditch at KM415 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) today (May 20).
A video posted on Facebook showed the truck lying in the ditch with some pigs scattered across the green field and happily munching on the grass.
While it is believed that most of the pigs survived, some were trapped by the truck’s debris and looked motionless.
It is still unclear why the truck lost control while driving along the highway.
The clip subsequently went viral on social media and garnered 16,000 views on Facebook.
Netizens were tickled by the video, with some remarking that the pigs were “travelling interstate in a large group”.
â–¼”Hope the National Security Council (MKN) can monitor this kind of large scale interdistrict traveling and give everyone a summon.”
â–¼”They [the pigs] were overweight, that’s why the lorry overturned.”
â–¼”I thought this was New Zealand!”
