PETALING JAYA -A TikTok video of a policeman taking a call while driving has gone viral, garnering 1.9m views in less than 24 hours.
The video uploaded by TikTok user @emman_2993, captured a Proton police car driving along the highway passing by the Sungai Wey National High School.
As @emman_2993’s car overtook the police car, the policeman was seen deep in conversation while one of his hand was gripping onto the steering wheel.
This alarming behaviour was later posted to the Facebook page Inforoadblock, an NGO page known for updating Malaysians on the latest road-related news.

Saman him!
Unsurprisingly, netizens had a lot to comment about this situation, where they expressed shock over how men in blue were capable of such acts and called for a fine to be issued.
Some even suggested using the video as “Get Out of Jail Free card” to save themselves from getting summoned if they were caught using the phone while on the road.
Netizens also mocked the authorities of punishing ordinary Malaysians but turned a blind eye towards their own.
“The law is for citizens only. The police aren’t wrong. The one recording [them] is wrong.”
“Don’t dispute over the police’s behaviour. They are the ones upholding the law. They aren’t wrong.”
Thankfully, the policeman’s dangerous act is now being probed and a fine has been issued as well, reported Harian Metro.
Policeman or not, please drive responsibly while on the road!
