[VIDEO] Driver suffers burns to 96% of his body after his Perodua Alza bursts into flames

KANGAR – A man sustained severe burns after his Perodua Alza caught fire last night (Feb 16). evening in Bintong, a man sustains severe burns after his Perodua Alza caught fire at Jalan Baru in Kampung Syed Omar, Bintong yesterday night (Feb 16).

Thw 29-year-old driver was driving along Jalan Baru at Kampung Syed Omar, Bintong at around 8:49 pm when his vehicle suddenly became a blazing inferno.

Videos posted on social media also showed him walking away from the burning Perodua Alza while his body was engulfed in flames.

Kangar police chief Superintendent Wari Kiew said the victim was found by a witness who stopped nearby, who immediately contacted 911 for help, reported Kosmo!.

Kangar Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Shahrunnizam Kamar Bashah said that ten firefighters and an ambulance were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.

He added that the victim suffered deep burns to 96% of his body and is currently in a critical condition.
