[VIDEO] Daring ‘Spiderman’ burglar scales condo and attempts to rob family at gunpoint

TAMPOI – Residents of a condominium in Tampoi, Johor Bahru had a rude awakening when they saw a man scaling the building’s walls with his bare hands.

The incident occurred at about 4 pm yesterday (July 7) before the suspect was arrested by authorities 30 minutes later.

In a video taken by one of the residents, the self-proclaimed ‘Spiderman’ was seen climbing from the 14th floor to the 18th floor before descending back to the 14th floor.

The suspect also tried breaking into one of the units through the sliding door and threatened the homeowner with a gun if he refused to let him in.

“My child and I were trying to close the sliding door while the burglar tried to open it forcefully while holding a gun in his hand.

“This incident has left my family severely traumatised,” said the homeowner.

A team of firefighters managed to arrest the suspect before police arrived and took him to the police station.
