SUNGAI PETANI – A pair of brothers have landed themselves in hot water after a video of them quarrelling with a machete at a flower shop went viral last Sunday (July 25).
Kuala Muda District police chief Adzil Abu Shah said a report was lodged at around 1 pm.
We’ve taken them into custody at 10 pm on the same day to aid investigations.”
Further checking disclosed that the pair had no prior criminal records and tested negative for drugs.
Police believe the argument was over the repaying of debts.
While the brothers have been released on bail, they will be investigated under Section 323/506 of the Penal Code for criminally intimidating offences.
Adzil urged the public not to upload sensitive content on social media and to instead report such incidents at the nearest police station.
