Tragedy struck today as a tour bus overturned during its descent from Genting Highlands along Kilometer 16.5 of Jalan Genting Highlands, resulting in the loss of two lives.
According to Kosmo!, Ismail Abdul Ghani, Assistant Director of Operations at the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), confirmed that two individuals were tragically trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Teams from Bentong Fire and Rescue Station, Genting Highlands Fire Station, and Genting Fire Unit quickly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, they discovered two passengers trapped inside the overturned bus, while 19 others had already been evacuated.
The bus, transporting 11 male and 7 female Chinese nationals, along with the driver and two local tour guides, was descending from Genting Highlands when the accident occurred.
