We often would say that our schooling days were the best times of our lives, where we did not have to bear the heavy responsibilities of an adult.
Unfortunately, there are also situations where we had to deal with difficult teachers and classmates, which, if not handled properly, can leave one mentally scarred for life.
A TikTok user named Hawa Johanis (@hawajoe99) was having a Q&A session with her viewers when one asked how he/she should handle teachers who disliked him/her. This inadvertently triggered unpleasant memories for Hawa, who became tears-eyed instantly.
With tears rolling down her cheeks, Hawa shared how her relationship with a teacher went south drastically.
“I was quite close with this teacher in secondary school. It wasn’t until an incident took place that I began to notice that he/she hated me and went all out to hurt me.”
The most unforgettable memory for Hawa was when the same teacher called her “lazy” in front of the entire class.
“I was so sad at that time. I felt shameful in front of my friends and cried alone at home”.
She kept the incident a secret from her parents as she didn’t want them to get involved.
Feeling helpless over her predicament, Hawa buried the bittersweet memories inside her and chose not to take any action towards her teacher.
“Although the teacher hated me, I’d still want to thank him/her for imparting knowledge to me.”
The post has since garnered 617.6k views, 122.6K likes, 1609 shares and 2524 comments, with many netizens expressing their sympathy towards Hawa and sharing how they had faced a similar experience in school.
