KUALA LUMPUR – Three men have died after a three-vehicle crash occurred at the Sultan Mohammad roundabout at midnight last Sunday (Nov 14).
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the accident took place at 3.15 am.
He added that three vehicles, including a Proton Saga, Proton X70 and Perodua Aruz, were involved.
“It is believed that the Perodua Aruz, driven by the victim aged between 21 to 24-years-old, was coming from Jalan Syed Putra when it crashed into the Proton Saga, causing it to skid and collide with a Proton X70 coming from Dataran Merdeka,” he said in a statement today.
The driver of the Perodua Aruz died on the spot while his friends died while receiving treatment at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital Emergency Unit.
However, the driver and passengers of the Proton Saga and Proton X70 were unhurt.
Sarifudin encouraged those with information regarding the case to contact the Jalan Tun H.S Lee police station at 03-2071 9999 or the Polis Kuala Lumpur Hotline at 03-2115 9999 or report to the nearest police station.
