A recent video has gone viral on Twitter, raising eyebrows over the actions of a local woman who seems to be an unauthorized parking attendant in Damascus, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
In the video, the woman can be seen arguing with another who was collecting an unauthorized parking fee outside Damascus Restaurant.
The female driver’s companion was displeased, sparking a heated exchange between the two.
The tweet, shared by user @nanmanjoi8715 last Thursday, shows the woman charging RM5 from a driver for parking along the roadside in the area. It appears that the video was recorded by a woman believed to be the driver’s companion.
“Parked by the roadside in Damascus, Bukit Bintang, and suddenly someone is asking for RM5,” the tweet stated.
In the video, the woman can be heard hurling offensive remarks at the lady recording the video. “It’s better for you to just stay at home and make pastries. If you don’t want to park here, you should leave this place,” she exclaimed.
Not just that, the woman also claimed that she had been “working” (managing parking) in that area for over 10 years.
“I’ve been working here, dear, for 10 years. People here have never had a problem, I’ve never met someone like you,” she continued.
The situation escalated when the two women started arguing heatedly. However, the driver’s calm demeanor seemed to defuse the situation.
Understood from the video, the vehicle then left the parking area to prevent further aggravation.
