Looks like Moo Deng, Thailand’s viral baby hippo, has some serious competition for the crown of cutest animal in town.
Enter Eva and Luna, two stunning golden tiger sisters who are turning heads and stealing hearts at Chiang Mai Night Safari.
Eva, the 3-year-old golden tiger, went viral after the safari shared her photos on 19 November 2024, racking up over 37,000 reactions and 29,000 shares on Facebook.
Her doe-eyed, doll-like charm is giving netizens all the feels.
Luna, her older sister, was first introduced to the public on October 29 in a post that described her as “the sweet golden tiger.”
While her debut was quieter than Eva’s, Luna has still captured hearts with her calm and regal demeanor.
A post featuring her lounging by a pool and soaking in the sun received 4,800 reactions and 1,500 shares, proving her own star power.
Eva and Luna are part of an incredibly rare group of tigers known as “golden tigers” or “strawberry tigers.”
Their unique coloration is caused by a recessive gene that affects fur pigmentation. While white tigers occur in approximately 1 in every 10,000 tiger births, golden tigers are even rarer, with fewer than 100 believed to exist worldwide.
Fans have been flooding the comments, describing the tigers as “majestic,” “beautiful,” and even “like kittens.”
The posts have not only drawn attention to the safari but also to the conservation efforts needed to protect such rare animals.
