Crashing your car into another car is quite common as accidents happen all the time. But crashing your car right through a brick wall? Maybe not so much.
This was what happened to a driver in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, after he crashed his Tesla right through a brick wall, much to the astonishment of residents and netizens.
Tesla rams right through a brick wall in Seri Kembangan
In a Facebook post shared by YC Shaun yesterday (Feb 4), it showed several photos and videos of a white Tesla which bulldozed its way right through a brick wall, leaving a gaping hole in the aftermath of the crash.

Aside from the brick wall, the Tesla didn’t escape unscathed from the crash as well, where one of the photos showed two large bricks lying on top of the bonnet as well as glass fragments on the floor.
The airbags were also deployed as well, suggesting that the impact of the crash was serious enough for it to be deployed.

According to the caption, YC Shaun wrote that the driver, who was a customer at a restaurant named Pik Wah Restaurant, claimed it was too dark for him to see what was ahead, thus causing him to ram straight into the wall.
He also addressed questions as to why the brick wall existed in the first place.
The wall was already there for almost 10 years. Back then another side wasn’t developed yet and the residents build for their own protection. If you stay nearby you’ll know it makes perfect sense to have that wall.
“The bottom-line is, it was updated in every version of (an online) map to be dead end,” he said.
Netizens express skepticism
In the comment section, netizens found it rather hard to believe the driver’s claim that the road was too dark as the photos showed that the road leading up to the brick wall was well lit.
One speculated that the driver could have been drunk at the time of the accident.

Another showed a screenshot of Google Maps from four years ago clearly showing that the brick wall was marked as a dead end and said the driver had “no excuse”.

On the other hand, some tried to put a humourous spin on the unfortunate incident, with one saying that the Tesla driver was probably tricked into driving into the brick wall after someone drew the famed ‘tunnel’ drawing from the cartoon series ‘Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner’.

We hope the driver wasn’t hurt by the incident and that others will pay more attention on the road next time!
