A teacher at a secondary school in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, is now in hot water after he allegedly assaulted a student and his mother with a cane.
According to Pasir Mas district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mazlan Hassan, he said the teacher hit the student’s head with the cane over an unknown matter on Aug 11.

When news of the incident reached the student’s mother, she informed the school about it and had a meeting with the teacher and school principal the next day.
However, things got heated during the meeting and the teacher allegedly started yelling before hitting the mother’s right thigh with a cane.
Mazlan added the incident was witnessed by the school principal, who expressed surprise over the teacher’s actions.

Arrest
Frightened by the teacher’s actions, the mother quickly left the scene and lodged a police report.
The teacher was later arrested and remanded for three days until tomorrow (Aug 15).
Police are probing the case under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, which carries up to 10 years in jail if convicted.
