PORT DICKSON – Police are on the hunt for a tanker truck driver who was caught using the emergency lane along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway in viral dashcam footage.
In the 16-second video, the tanker truck was seen cruising down the emergency lane amid heavy traffic.

In the statement by Port Dickson District Police Chief Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed, the incident was believed to have occurred between 2 pm – 4 pm last Saturday (Dec 11) at KM27-KM28 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.
“We have identified the truck under the car plate number CEL 5916, which is registered under a logistic company in Bukit Raja, Shah Alam.
“We also request the driver to present himself at the Port Dickson Traffic police station for further investigation,” he said.
Aidi urged all road users to practice good driving ethics and to comply with the traffic rules to avoid being a nuisance to other road users.
“We will not compromise {to take action against] drivers who abuse the emergency lane and act like “kings” of the road.”
The case is now being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code and Rule 53(1) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
