"There's a temperature but there's warmth as well in Penang."
Being a tourist in a foreign country can be an exciting experience, but it’s not so exciting when you get lost and not knowing what to do in order to get to your destination.

A tourist from Taiwan recently took to Xiao Hong Shu to share how a kind couple in Penang came to her rescue after she got lost while trying to board a bus to the airport.

But after spending much time wandering around Georgetown for 8 to 9km and searching in vain for help on Google, she still couldn’t figure out which bus to board that will take her to the airport.

Luckily for her, she crossed paths with an Indian couple who were kind and patient enough to show her which bus to board when she approached them for help.

On top of that, they even took the bus with her all the way to the interchange station and paid the fare for her too.

“I was so touched by their friendliness that I nearly cried. When we reached our destination, the woman handed me some money while her husband reminded me that the bus would arrive within minutes.

When I watched them leave from behind, I could feel tears welling up inside my eyes. Because of them, I’ve fallen in love with this town,” she wrote.

To wrap the heartwarming encounter up, the tourist summarised Penang in a simple sentence:

“Penang. There’s a temperature here but there’s warmth as well.”
