It’s a known fact that our new king is a big car enthusiast, and a brand new car has been added to his collection, but that’s not all.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, has been presented with the Hongqi L5, making him the very first owner of the car in the entire world.
The first owner in the world
In the post shared on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, it was revealed that the new car was presented to him during his meeting today (April 12) with China’s ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing.
This meeting is to engage in discussions regarding the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China, as well as to address pertinent current issues affecting both nations.
During the meeting, His Majesty discussed the direction of diplomatic relations and the need for broader cooperation between Malaysia and China. He emphasised Malaysia’s potential to increase trade, technology exchange, and exports to China.
Additionally, he encouraged more investment from Chinese companies in Malaysia to create job opportunities.
Used by top leaders
According to the post, it has been stated that the car was manufactured by the FAW Group. This retro-styled vehicle serves as transportation for top Chinese leaders during state and diplomatic occasions.
