The decomposed body of a technician who didn’t return home for days was found inside a car that was parked at an outdoor parking lot in Penang today.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Xu Guoming (transliteration), who lives in Air Itam, has two children, and reportedly suffers from diabetes, reported Sin Chew Daily.
His body, which was in a decomposed state, was discovered at around 12pm near a fast food outlet in Sungai Ara.

It is understood that workers from nearby shops in the area contacted the police when they detected a foul smell coming from the car.
Officers later arrived at the scene and discovered that Xu had died inside the car several days earlier.
Final phone call
Speaking to reporters, Xu’s wife said Xu told her last Wednesday (May 20) that he had been assigned by his company to travel to KL for work.
She added that he planned to park his car at the Penang International Airport parking lot before flying to KL.

“Three days later (May 23), he called me at around 4pm and said he would return to the office first to settle some matters before heading home.
“When he didn’t returned as promised, I went to the airport parking lot and combed through every level but I couldn’t find his car. On May 26, I lodged a police report,” she recounted.
Xu’s wife also said she has no idea what caused her husband’s untimely demise.
Our condolences to the victim’s family for their loss.
