Today, we reported of a stabbing which took place at a secondary school in Banting, Selangor this morning.
A clip of the incident has since gone viral on social media, along with photos of the victim who was left grievously injured as a result.
Stabbed in the back & shoulders
According to NST, the victim was stabbed more than 10 times by the suspect and sustained injuries to her back and shoulders.

The suspect had reportedly not been attending school for months and was undergoing medical treatment prior to the attack.
Witnesses said they saw the suspect making her way into the school compound through the main gate while holding a knife.
After the attack, a teacher intervened and successfully calmed the suspect near the school’s prayer room before police arrested her.
Police also seized the knife believed to have been used in the attack.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed the arrest and said the victim is currently in a stable condition.
While the suspect’s motives remain unknown, some speculated that she carried out the attack out of revenge due to bullying.
Police custody
Meanwhile, the Selangor Education Department said in a statement that the suspect is now in police custody, adding the department is giving its full cooperation to the authorities in the ongoing investigation.

It added its main priority now is to “ensure the victim receives the best possible care while providing assistance to her family.”
“A team of counselling teachers has been mobilised to provide psychosocial support and intervention for students, teaching staff and employees of the affected school.
“We also urge the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could affect the ongoing investigation.”
