THE PHILIPPINES – We all have this dreaded fear of hearing our car tires making a loud, thumping sound – a sign that a sharp object has lodged itself into it. While we are usually warned to avoid nails or glass shards, one man had his car tire punctured by one of the most unexpected culprits.
According to Kwong Wah Daily, Leo Padilla-Ricarte was driving when he noticed something was stuck to one of the tires. Curious to know what it was, he stopped his car at the side of the road and got down to check, only to find a pair of false dentures burrowed deep into the tire.

After Leo removed the false dentures out from the tire, he was dismayed to discover a huge hole had been made, forcing him to change it even though he had just bought new ones not too long ago. He also joked that this was the first time his car tire was punctured by such an object.

Netizens were amused by Leo’s experience, with some saying that manufacturers now have to produce false dentures-resistant tires, while some said the real “loser” in this incident was the owner of the dentures as it isn’t cheap. Many also expressed their sympathy for Leo, who had to fork out extra money to change his tires.
