KUALA LUMPUR– Â Several videos showing thick smoke enveloping the roof of Pavilion KL has gone viral on social media, shocking many.

The Kuala Lumpur Operations Center said in a statement that it received an emergency call at about 2:12 pm and successfully extinguished it.

According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, the fire had originated from the duck-roasting section inside Dragon-i Peking Duck Restaurant’s kitchen area.
Pavilion KL: ‘We’re okay!’
In an official statement issued by Pavilion’s management, it said that no casualties were reported.

The mall also assured that all of its shoppers and tenants remain safe and sound.
