Qiao Qi’s father, Tan Chai Hee (50), sells clothes at a night market, while her mother, Ng Sook Chin (47), sells clothes in a shop.

The couple also supports their 23-year-old eldest daughter who is pursuing her university studies. Faced with the enormous medical expenses of RM550,000, they sought help from the community.

In response, local NGO, One Hope Charity & Welfare launched a fundraising campaign on May 2nd to cover Qiao Qi’s medical expenses. The appeal received overwhelming support, raising the required RM550,000 within just five hours.
