SG Woman Endures Contraction Pain For 3 Hours At Taylor Swift Concert, Gives Birth 13 Hours Later

Baby gets to experience Taylor Swift concert before being born.
A pregnant lady shocked the internet after bravely weathering the pains of uterine contractions to attend her idol Taylor Swift’s concert, only to give birth to a healthy baby girl 13 hours later.

This remarkable incident took place in Singapore, where 29-year-old Natalie Wong, determined not to miss the musical performance of a lifetime, endured the early stages of labour to witness Taylor Swift live on stage.

Speaking to TODAY, Wong began feeling contractions early on the morning of the 4th of this month but decided, alongside her 29-year-old husband Justyn Goh, not to forego their concert plans after consulting with her obstetrician.

The healthcare professional had assessed Wong’s condition and deemed it was not yet critical for hospital admission, giving the green light for the couple to attend the concert.

The three-hour performance tested Wong’s resilience as her contractions intermittently came and went.

There were moments when she had to sit due to the pain and others when she could stand, managing to endure the concert with about 60% of her normal strength.

Remarkably, as Taylor Swift neared the end of her setlist, Wong’s contractions intensified, occurring every five minutes, leading her to question whether it was time to head to the hospital.

Despite the escalating pain, Wong was determined to make it through the concert, motivated by her belief that she and her unborn child could persevere.

Her husband, Justyn, however, was understandably anxious and repeatedly suggested leaving for the hospital.

After the concert concluded, the couple even managed to grab a quick meal before finally going to the hospital, where Wong successfully delivered their daughter, Emma, the following afternoon.

The choice of their daughter’s name, Emma, preselected by the couple, serendipitously matches one of Taylor Swift’s song titles, “Emma Falls in Love.”

Wong expressed that the naming coincidence and the timing of their daughter’s birth were unexpected, especially considering they had purchased the concert tickets unaware of Wong’s pregnancy, on what turned out to be her actual due date.

Wong’s extraordinary experience, navigating through the pain of labour contractions at a concert, has captivated the internet, underscoring the lengths to which some fans will go to support their idols.

Wong herself is still in disbelief over the ordeal, marvelling at the surreal nature of attending a concert in labour and the joy of welcoming her daughter into the world shortly after.
