A terrifying dashcam footage was recently shared online which showed a young woman being knocked down by an oncoming car in Singapore.
Despite the accident which damaged the car’s windscreen, the woman miraculously survived and is now at the hospital.
SG woman dashes across road, car knocks her down
In the 10-second footage shared on the Facebook page Singapore Incidents, it showed the car travelling on the extreme right lane of Bideford Road.
Suddenly, the young woman dashes from the left side and attempts to run across to the other side, not realising that the car was coming towards her.

By the time she noticed the car, it proved to be too late, resulting in her getting knocked off her feet and shattering the windscreen as a result.

Police later told Mothership that the 26-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in a conscious state and that a 43-year-old male driver is assisting them in investigations.
Whose fault was it?
In the comment section, netizens debated over who was responsible for the collision, with some siding with the driver and others were on the woman’s side.
Some slammed the woman for jaywalking, which is not only illegal in Singapore, but also endangers the safety of other road users.

On the other hand, some said the driver was at fault for driving too fast, which may have prevented him from braking in time.
