2nd tornado hits Sekinchan, 30 houses damaged
In a Facebook post by Sekinchan state assemblyperson Ng Suee Lim, he wrote the tornado was sighted at 4.15pm and tore its way through the area along with strong winds.
Although the tornado lasted for a minute, photos shared by Ng showed the trail of destruction left behind, with zinc roofs getting ripped off and trees being uprooted.

In an interview with Oriental Daily, Ng said a total of 30 houses were destroyed by the tornado and power supply was also cut off. He also said 10 houses were severely damaged by the natural disaster.
He added he rushed to Taman Ria to assess the situation and offer help to residents, where he was joined by the Social Services Organization (JKM) and the district’s fire department.
Residents wanted to record the tornado, but it happened so fast that they couldn’t do so. Thankfully, the good news is that no fatalities were reported,” he said.

In a separate Facebook post, Ng wrote that residents who had their homes damaged by the tornado were moved to a temporary evacuation center, where they could have access to basic necessities.
