RM1mil Serviced Apartment Will Be Given To M’sian Athlete Who Brings Home 1st Gold Medal

In an exciting boost for Malaysian athletes, the Road to Gold (RTG) Committee has announced two major sponsors who will reward the country’s first Olympic gold medalist at Paris 2024.

According to a Facebook post by Minister of Youth & Sports, this initiative aims to inspire athletes to give their best in Paris.

Tan Sri Dr. Lim Wee Chai, founder and executive chairman of Top Glove, and owner of Top Residency, is offering a luxury serviced apartment worth RM1 million in Setia Alam.

This development promises an exclusive lifestyle with world-class amenities, part of a 4-star hotel in a prime, rapidly developing location.

“We hope this incentive will be a catalyst for our athletes to achieve unprecedented success, including bringing home Malaysia’s first Olympic gold medal.”

Lim Kim Heng, the executive chairman of Senheng, is pledging RM1 million in cash to the first Malaysian badminton player from the SS Badminton Talent Program (2012-2016) to win gold at Paris 2024.

The eligible athletes include Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik, and Chen Tang Jie.

If there is more than one winner, the prize will be shared equally. Lim Kim Heng has supported these athletes’ training, accommodation, and meals since the program’s inception.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the collaboration between the government and private sectors.
