A relentless rainstorm this morning led to significant flooding across Setia Alam, submerging several roads and bringing an unexpected, frightening sight to motorists: a python on the loose.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the flash floods affected several key roads, including Setia Prima, Setia Damai, and Setia Indah.
Large python submerges from the flood
The downpour overwhelmed Setia Alam’s water retention ponds, causing water to spill back onto the streets.
Low-lying areas were hit especially hard, with rainwater covering road surfaces, temporarily blocking traffic flow.
The situation grew more dramatic when a driver caught sight of a large python slithering across the flooded junction at Setia Damai.

The snake, estimated to be at least six feet long, appeared partially submerged in the floodwater as it tried to cross the road.
Thankfully, all vehicles managed to avoid the snake, sparing it from harm.
This unusual encounter adds a layer of concern for residents already grappling with rising floodwaters and traffic delays due to the adverse weather.
