A restaurant in Sri Petaling, has stirred debate online with its unusual take on chendol—topping the traditional dessert with crispy pork lard.

For those unfamiliar, chendol usually comes with shaved ice, palm sugar, coconut milk, and red beans.

But this shop took it a step further by adding crispy pork lard on top.

The bold combo was featured by TikTok user @bestfoodmy in July, racking up over 100,000 views.

While the TikToker was initially hesitant, he gave it a surprising 9/10, saying the pork lard blended well with the dessert.
