Cutting lanes is one of the most challenging manoeuvres for drivers, and it can often lead to unwanted accidents if done incorrectly or if others are reluctant to make way.
While it’s not compulsory to say thank you to those who choose to give way, this Myvi driver went an extra mile by holding out a ‘thank you’ card whenever he cuts lanes.

In a 9-second video uploaded to the Facebook page 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, it showed a Myvi driver switching to the right lane.
In the midst of doing so, he held a card with the words “Please, excuse me” written on it.
After successfully changing lanes, he then flipped the card which read “Thank you” as a form of gratitude to the driver who made way for him.

One commented that Myvis tend to be full of surprises and go viral for both good and bad reasons.

Some praised the Myvi driver for being polite to other motorists.

Another netizen wrote: “I will definitely let him go first if I come across him!”

However, some believed it is risky for the driver to stick his hand out from the window as it might be injured by a passing motorcycle.

Whatever it is, it sure is nice to see such well-mannered drivers on the road!
