Alhamdulillah, everything has been resolved. Hope that our national badminton will continue to excel on the global stage and that the Jalur Gemilang will fly high overseas.

Suspension on Goh lifted too

The national women’s singles player, Goh Jin Wei who left BAM last year September also took to Facebook to thank Norza and BAM for letting her to continue her badminton career as a professional player.

Lee and Goh’s tussle with BAM has been dominating national headlines for the past few weeks after the association gave them a two-year ban from international tournaments following their decision to leave the national team and turn professional, sparking a public outcry.

It was also reported that Lee had turned down a yearly salary of RM1mil from BAM in an attempt to retain him.

On Tuesday, BAM finally gave its blessing for Lee to become an independent player and wished him well on Tuesday (Jan 25).
