Pizza Hut Taiwan recently unveiled its latest pizza on June 21, where it features a durian pizza with pineapples and mangoes as the toppings. Yes, you’re reading it right!
Ever since the inception of pizza, pineapples have long been known as the most controversial topping, but it seems like Pizza Hut Taiwan wants to up the stakes even more with this unusual creation.
Weird toppings aside, we have to admit that it does look appearing on the outside given the generous amount of melted cheese and its crisp-looking crust.
According to Elle Taiwan, the pizza is available for a limited time only and costs TWD539 (RM80.06).
The pizza chain had raised many eyebrows in the past with its wacky and downright outrageous creations such as the Fried Chicken, Tempura, and Oreos pizza, as well as the Pig Blood Cake, Pork Intestine, And Duck Blood pizza.
Range of reactions online
Netizens were understandably horrified by the latest creation and wondered what in God’s name they had just seen.
On the other hand, several netizens said that they wouldn’t mind giving it a try and advised others not to judge the pizza by its cover (or in this case, toppings).
