After a long day of polling and counting the votes, it has emerged that the PH-BN managed to retain its hold on Penang, Negeri Sembilan, and Selangor.
As for Perikatan Nasional (PN), it maintained its rule on Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah.

Unfortunately, PH-BN has also lost its two-third majority at the Selangor state assembly thanks to surprising inroads made by Perikatan Nasional (PN), reported Malaysiakini.

Some examples of PH-BN favoured seats which were won by PN in Selangor include as Hulu Kelang and Taman Medan.
However, there are still several key seats where the final results has yet to be announced.
