A Tuesday morning downpour turned low-lying areas in Shah Alam into temporary waterways, leaving many roads impassable and commuters stuck in long traffic jams. Frustrated drivers could only wait helplessly as the rain continued to drizzle.
However, a viral video on TikTok captured a remarkable scene that caught the attention of Malaysians online.
Crossing in formation
Despite floodwaters rising nearly halfway up the height of vehicles, three Perodua cars – a white Viva, a purple Myvi, and a dark blue Axia – boldly navigated through the submerged road.
In the video, the trio of national cars moved at a slow and steady pace in formation, successfully crossing the flooded stretch while leaving onlookers amazed.
The sight of these compact vehicles tackling challenging conditions sparked a wave of admiration on social media.
Netizens’ reaction
Comments poured in, with netizens expressing their astonishment and praising the cars for their resilience.
“Viva is the eldest, Myvi is the middle child, Axia is the youngest.”
“You go ahead, Long… Angah and Ude still have debts to settle in this world.”
“Viva is indeed okay; I’ve driven through high water several times and got through just fine…”
