Acts of generosity often appear in unexpected ways, and a fruit stall in Penang has recently caught public attention for a durian giveaway aimed at expectant mothers.
Free Musang King durians offered daily
As reported by SirapLimau, Pakteh Fruits, a fruit stall located in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, is offering free Musang King durians to pregnant women.
The initiative was announced by the stall owner through a TikTok video posted on the account @paktehfruits.
The giveaway runs daily from Dec 4 this year until Feb 1, 2026, giving expectant mothers the chance to enjoy one of the most sought after durian varieties without having to pay out of their pockets.
Limited quantity with simple redemption rules
Each day, between 10 and 30 Musang King durians are set aside for the giveaway, depending on stock availability.
Distribution begins at around 3pm and continues until all durians for the day have been claimed.
Pregnant women must visit the stall in person and redeem the durian directly from the staff on duty. Each person is only entitled to one free durian, and the offer operates on a first come first served basis.
Discounted prices for those who miss the giveaway
For those who arrive after the free durians have run out, Pakteh Fruits is offering a special offer, where pregnant women can purchase Musang King durians at discounted prices ranging from RM10 to RM30 per fruit, depending on its weight.
This option has been welcomed by many, especially those who may not be able to arrive early but still wish to satisfy their cravings.
In the same TikTok video, the stall owner showcased the quality of the durians being offered. The fruits were shown to have thick flesh with a bright golden yellow colour, drawing positive reactions from viewers online.
The initiative has since been widely shared on social media, with many praising the trader for sharing his rezeki and making the durian season a little sweeter for expectant mothers.
