A man in China’s Shanxi’s province had the biggest shock of his life when he discovered that none of the children he raised were biologically his.
However, this wouldn’t have seen the light of day if he hadn’t come across a news story which shared eerily similar aspects with his personal situation.
Fractures in his marriage
According to Sin Chew Daily, the man named Wei got married in 2018. His eldest daughter was born before the marriage and his wife gave birth to twin daughters years later.
Years into the marriage, Wei began noticing his wife behaving strangely such as going out often to hang out with her “best friends” and not coming home for several days.
He also observed that she had removed the car dashcam and turned off the home’s CCTV to avoid having her movements tracked.
Although Wei sensed that something wasn’t right, he chose to trust his wife and remain silent for his children’s sake.
The news story that broke him
One day, Wei had an argument with his wife and she subsequently stormed out from the house.
He then came across a news story about a man who found out that two out of the three kids he has been raising for 11 years wasn’t his.
This deeply troubled Wei, who felt that the news story was rather similar to what he was experiencing and was unable to sleep at night.
Wanting to put his doubts to rest, Wei hired a third-party agency to conduct a private paternity test and the results showed that none of his daughters were biologically his.
However, an official judicial paternity test ordered by the court must still be carried out to confirm the findings as the paternity test was done privately by a third party.
As for Wei’s wife, she has reportedly gone missing and Wei plans to file legal action against her and dissolve the marriage.
