While we all know that it’s part of nature for animals to mate when the time comes, we still can’t help but to blush and hide our faces whenever we see it unfold for ourselves.
A man in Singapore who went to check on what caused the noise at his kitchen found himself seeing a pair of lovey-dovey birds doing the deed.
Pair of hornbills spotted mating at man’s kitchen window
The photo was shared in the Singapore Wildlife Sightings Facebook group by Alex Goh, who wrote: “Heard some noises in the kitchen this morning. A pair of hornbills came visiting.”
In the photo, the male hornbill, which had a larger bill and frame, is seen sitting on top of the female hornbill while both of them are engaged in you-know-what.
These hornbills, or oriental pied hornbills to be exact, are native to Singapore and are usually found in urban areas, where they survive on fruits and small animals.
However, it’s unusual for hornbills to mate while perched on window frames as they normally do so in the wild, with the female hornbill sent inside a natural cavity in a tree which is sealed with a plaster of mud and fibres.

Naturally, netizens couldn’t help but to poke jokes and innuendos over the photo, with many saying the hornbills did more than just “visiting”.
‘That’s not visiting. That’s making love!’
