KOTA BHARU – The driver of a Toyota Hilux was caught red-handed on CCTV taking off with a huge drain cover inside the boot at Taman Limau Manis, according to a video clip uploaded by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) on their Facebook page.
If you are unfamiliar with this notorious neighbourhood, the CCTVs in this area has captured high-quality footage of numerous criminal activities ranging from sexual assault to theft.
Here’s an incident that occurred two months ago:
Just yesterday, a two-minute footage filmed a black Toyota Hilux prowling the area for half a minute before locating its “victim” – a bulky and slightly rusty manhole cover.
Although the clip did not show how the entire incident unfolded, it was apparent that the driver finally got his hands on the coveted manhole cover and left the scene two minutes later.
Netizens who had been following the Facebook page found the incident amusing and wondered why crimes occurred so often in the area.
The post has since garnered 3.2K reactions and 174K views at the time of writing.
