Most Malaysians would’ve tried most cuisines in the world thanks to social media. However, the same may not be said for African food as it’s a rare sight in the country.
In a recent TikTok video uploaded by a food court located in Cheras, it showcased a stall which sells African food and is run by a couple from Nigeria.

In the video, the Nigerian man revealed that he operates the stall alongside his wife, whom he describes as his “unwavering support system”.
He also shared that prior to running the stall, he worked as a pastor and managed his own ministry.
However, with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, he faced challenges sustaining his business and ultimately transitioned to selling food as a means of livelihood.

I approached a few restaurants, but they did not accept us. However, the Big Three Kopitiam took us in.
“At the beginning, many customers were hesitant to try out our food but with time, more and more people came (to our stall),” he said.
When asked what were the best-selling dishes, the Nigerian man said that it was the beef stew and stir-fried vegetables.

‘Thank you for accepting us’
In the video, the man thanked his wife for her support, saying that it wouldn’t have been easy without her the entire time.
He also thanked Big Three Kopitiam for allowing them to operate their stall within the premise, adding that thanks to their kindness, he has fallen in love with Malaysia.
