Netizens praise young man for offering on-duty cop a drink

A young man’s kind deed in giving a policeman a cool drink to quench his thirst while patrolling under the scorching sun has earned praise online.

In a video shared on Facebook, the young man and two of his friends had pulled over to the side of the road after noticing the police officer sitting at the centre of a road divider.

Worried that the officer would dehydrate due to the weather, the young man got out of the car and crossed the busy road to give him a drink.

According to the post’s caption, it is believed that the officer was carrying out his duties under Op Tembak Laju.

Netizens were touched by the young man’s act and gave him a thumbs-up as a form of appreciation.

Some also decided to take a funnier spin on the heartwarming clip by joking that the teenager was probably the son of a policeman or whether he had poisoned the drink. Aiyoyo!
