A WeirdKaya reader has captured various individuals donned in slightly off-brand, and frankly creepy, cartoon character costumes, including a nightmarish version of Minnie Mouse, a bewildered looking Dorami, and a rather solemn bear, selling pickled to motorists during the lunchtime rush.
The video, which has quickly gone viral, shows these characters approaching vehicles at a notoriously busy intersection in Bangi, where they try to entice drivers and passengers alike with bags of pickled fruits, all while dressed in costumes that might make one think twice about stopping.
The Minnie Mouse costume, described by as a “creepy” deviation from her usually delightful Disney depiction.
The netizen also expressed concern, wondering, “Isn’t it dangerous to sell at the road like this?”
