A popular nasi lemak restaurant in SS15, Subang Jaya, became the center of a dramatic incident when a faulty gas cylinder caused a fire in its kitchen.
The incident, captured in a TikTok video by user @ozeyy_, shows flames erupting while startled diners rushed to evacuate.
Fire broke out due to gas leak
According to the video, the fire broke out due to a gas leak from one of the kitchen’s cylinders.
Flames quickly engulfed part of the kitchen, creating a scene of panic as customers abandoned their meals and sought safety.
One diner shared their shock, saying, “Everyone ran! I can’t believe this happened while I was eating.”
Thankfully, the restaurant’s staff acted swiftly, using fire extinguishers to put out the blaze before it could cause further damage or injuries.
Another video revealed the aftermath, showing a kitchen filled with thick smoke. Interestingly, some diners appeared unfazed by the drama, continuing to enjoy their plates of nasi lemak, much to the amusement of netizens.
