For every driver, the one car that would definitely make headlines without fail is the Myvi, which has rightfully earned itself the nickname ‘King of the Road’ for this reason.
This time, the Myvi once again making the news after a driver maneuvering the vehicle completely toppled a petrol pump over, causing a stir among onlookers and netizens.

Photos of the incident was shared by a netizen on Xiaohongshu (XHS), where it showed curious bystanders looking at a yellow Myvi at a Petronas petrol station.
As it turned out, the Myvi had apparently crashed into a petrol pump, causing it to fall backwards. The car was also seen getting stuck on the concrete slab where the petrol pump formerly stood.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the mishap took place at Batu Caves on Thursday (Aug 8) at around 12.20pm.
While the exact cause is unknown, the Chinese daily reported that the driver wanted to move the Myvi forward but switched into the wrong gear, sending the car crashing into the petrol pump and toppling it.

As expected, the post quickly went viral on social media and netizens couldn’t help but be amused by how the Myvi always seemed to get itself into such sticky situations.
‘Only the Myvi, our national car, can only do things you’d never expect a car to do.’
‘No doubt it’s a ‘godlike’ car. It crashed into the petrol pump but hardly suffered any damage.’
Another commented that it was fortunate that a fire wasn’t sparked after the accident took place.
Meanwhile, one wondered how much the Myvi driver had to pay for knocking over and damaging the petrol pump.
