Today I delivered an Axia Rahmah. It’s the cheapest brand-new car in the world—still wrapped in plastic, comes with just air-cond, a steering wheel and seats. That’s it.

“But for someone who’s never been able to afford a nice or expensive car, he cried when he got the keys. I almost hugged him when he said ‘Alhamdulillah’ with tears in his eyes.”

The man shared that he had never imagined his children would one day be able to ride to school in a car.

Previously, the family relied solely on a motorcycle, often arriving at school soaked when it rained.

A symbol of hope and gratitude

The story didn’t end there. The customer also expressed his excitement to return to his hometown over the weekend, proudly driving his new car to let his mother ride in it for the first time.

Deeply moved, Badrul decided to give him a trunk full of gifts as a gesture of support.

“He said he’s going back to the kampung on Sunday and wants to let his mother ride in the car. I searched through everything I had and filled the car boot with gifts for him to take home.

“I didn’t care that the commission was only RM100. I just wanted this customer to have the best experience. The way he gently touched the car with his fingers, it was like he was holding a Ferrari. He stared at the steering wheel for a long time.

“At that moment, I realised how ungrateful we can sometimes be. I got emotional.”

Badrul’s post quickly gained attention online, with many praising the customer’s humility and the salesman’s sincerity.

For many Malaysians, the Perodua Axia Rahmah may be a modest car, but to this man, it represents freedom, dignity, and a better future for his family—a powerful reminder that gratitude often shines brightest in the simplest moments.
