Facebook-owned Instagram has been rolling out numerous features for the past few years that allow users to create eye-catching and exciting stories and videos for their followers to see. However, one of its key features, Instagram Music, was not made available in Malaysia due to copyright issues.
But that has changed. Today, Instagram Music is now available in Malaysia, and there’s no need to install VPN apps to bypass the blockade. With Instagram Music, you can include the song’s lyrics and a snippet of the chosen song into your stories!
Here’s how to use it:
Snap/record an Instagram story
Click the sticker button at the top right corner.
Once you’ve done that, swipe up or tap on the sticker icon. You will then find an icon that’s labelled ‘Music’.
You will then be able to choose any song that you’d like to add into your story.
- Select a portion of the song you wish to use in your story by sliding to the timestamp. You can also change the font style, size and colour of the lyrics.
Instagram Music first made its appearance in the US in June 2018, and after a three-year wait, it is finally here.
With this new feature, your followers will be able to hear the song playing in the background. Additionally, a sticker showing the song title and the artist’s name will appear as well.
So, go ahead! Use Instagram Music to its fullest and start creating your own musically-inspired story now!
