A small act of kindness in Taman Melawati has touched thousands online after a few strangers were filmed helping an elderly woman who appeared to be struggling to walk.

The moment was shared on Threads by user @nfellisa, who thanked the pair and wished for all their affairs to be eased.

Witnessed while picking up her child

In a follow-up comment, the woman said she came across the heartwarming scene while on her way to pick up her child from school.

The footage showed a man wearing a motorcycle helmet carrying the elderly woman as she stood with a walking frame near a pedestrian crossing.

Two women wearing red helmets were also seen staying close to the elderly woman and helping guide her safely towards the pavement.

Yesterday, while I was on the way to pick up my child from school, I got to witness this beautiful moment,” the poster wrote.

She encouraged others to continue sharing positive acts of kindness, adding that she had read every comment even though she was unable to reply to them individually.

Video gains over 400,000 views

At the time of writing, the post had received more than 426,000 views, along with approximately 27,800 likes and 2,700 reposts.

Many commenters praised the strangers for stopping to help instead of simply passing by.

One person said the scene reflected the spirit of “Satu Malaysia”, while another wrote that people should continue helping one another regardless of race.

Others hoped their social media feeds would show more uplifting moments like this.
