Perodua said the savings came entirely from improvements to its processes and operational efficiency.
Good news for Malaysians planning to buy a new car, as Perodua has lowered the prices of its Axia models by up to RM4,700.

New prices effective immediately

According to Perodua, the revised prices took effect immediately on Aug. 3.

In Peninsular Malaysia, the Axia 1.0G now costs RM33,900, down from RM38,600, giving buyers savings of RM4,700.

The Axia 1.0X is now priced at RM38,500 after a RM1,500 reduction, while the Axia 1.0SE has dropped by RM1,000 to RM43,000.

Meanwhile, the Axia 1.0AV now costs RM49,000 following a RM500 price reduction.

Price cuts apply in East Malaysia too

Customers in Sabah and Sarawak will enjoy the same amount of savings.

The Axia 1.0G is now priced at RM35,900, followed by the 1.0X at RM40,500, the 1.0SE at RM45,000 and the 1.0AV at RM51,000.

All prices listed do not include insurance.

No changes to quality or specifications

Perodua said the savings came entirely from improvements to its processes and operational efficiency.

Despite the lower prices, the company assured customers that the Axia’s specifications and quality standards remain unchanged.

Perodua president and chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the move was part of the company’s ongoing effort to ease the financial pressure faced by Malaysians.
