A Malaysian woman recently shared her worries online after realising that her 56-year-old father has no savings left for his future.
According to The Sun, the netizen shared on social media that her father has already used up his EPF money and currently does not have any savings to rely on.
She said her biggest fear is what will happen when he gets older, especially if he can no longer work by the time he turns 60.

Wondered if she should help him start a business
The woman later shared that she had thought about helping her father earn money through a small business.
Some ideas included selling goods from home, setting up a small stall, or running a simple neighbourhood business.
However, she was unsure if this would be too tiring for him at his age.
She also admitted that she was afraid she may not be able to fully support him financially in the future, especially if she has her own family to care for.
Netizens told her not to panic
Many netizens later comforted her, saying that 56 is still not too old to work.
Some suggested that her father could look for jobs suitable for older workers, such as working as a security guard.
Others said staying active may also be better than doing nothing at home.
The post has since started a wider conversation about retirement savings and how many adult children worry about their parents growing old without enough money.
