If you’re a pet owner, you’d usually want your furry friend to follow you everywhere, be it for walks or family outings. But, there are places where animals aren’t allowed to enter.
A woman was recently called out for blatantly disregarding signs forbidding visitors from bringing their pets with them to a playground in Penang.

M’sian woman slammed for bringing pet dog to playground
In a Facebook post shared by Penang Kini, it showed a woman walking her pet dog on a leash at Gurney Bay in Penang.
While it may appear to be a harmless act, the post pointed out that there were multiple signs telling visitors that they’re not allowed to bring their pets with them.

The OP’s frustration over the woman’s actions was palpable, where the caption read:
There are still individuals who either do not understand or pretend not to understand. As Malaysians living in harmony, we should be aware that public spaces or shared areas like this are off-limits for bringing pets such as dogs as it can cause discomfort to the public.
“Back then, this issue was a heated topic, but it was understandable since the park was newly opened and there were no signs stopping pet owners. But it’s no longer the case now.”

The OP blamed the lack of enforcement for the incident, especially during the weekends and peak hours. The OP also claimed that no enforcement personnel appeared to confront the woman all throughout the three hours she was there.
Netizens condemn woman’s selfishness
Needless to say, netizens also joined in criticising the woman for ignoring the ‘No Pets Allowed’ signs.
‘These kind of people are plain ignorant and not because they don’t understand (the signs).’

‘This Ah Moi…not sure whether she’s blind or acting dumb. No respect at all.’

In a similar case, a woman caused a ruckus when she was told that she couldn’t bring her dog into an electronics store at USJ:
