A woman recently shared on TikTok that she was a victim of an alleged privacy violation while staying at a local homestay.
Disturbing Discovery in the Bathroom
In a viral post by @nfwhda._, the woman recounted the disturbing moment when she realised someone was trying to take photos of her through a bathroom window.
“I went to the bathroom to relieve myself and take a shower. For some reason, I felt the need to check the window, and that’s when I saw something strange,” she shared.
Horrified, she quickly realised that someone was attempting to photograph her.
“I screamed and called for my mum. I was trembling with fear,” she continued.
Her family immediately took action, with her brother confronting the homestay owner who lived next door.
Suspicious Behavior From the Homestay Owner
Despite the owner’s initial denial, the woman noted his suspicious behavior.
“My brother asked him to show his phone, but he had already deleted everything to avoid being caught. His reaction was strange and he looked terrified,” she explained.
In her TikTok post, she also offered advice to others, urging them to stay cautious when staying at unfamiliar places like homestays, and to always check the surroundings to avoid falling prey to such acts.
