A woman was left feeling frustrated after her husband reportedly refused to lift a finger with the house chores, leaving her to do it all alone.
As such, she has grown unhappy with the marriage and questioned whether she’d be better off being a divorcee than caring for an “adult baby”.
‘He’s a good husband but…’
In an anonymous confession, the woman, who’s currently pregnant with her third child, said she had been married for 12 years and described her husband as “a good man” who doesn’t smoke, drink, gamble, or fool around with other women.
Despite these good qualities, she bemoaned the fact that her husband simply couldn’t be bothered to assist her with house chores.

“My life is almost no different from what it was before I became pregnant. Every morning, I wake up early to prepare breakfast and wake the kids up to get them ready for school.
“After that, I buy groceries, cook, do the laundry, hang the clothes out to dry, fold them, mop the floor, and clean the bathroom. At night, I help the children with their homework and put them to bed.”
As for her husband, all he did was sticking to his daily routine of taking a shower after work, eating, and scrolling through his phone, playing games, or watching TV.
“Sometimes, while I’m heavily pregnant, I’m squatting in the bathroom scrubbing the floor. He walks right past me, takes one look, and goes straight back to the living room without offering any help.

“Other times, I’m busy cooking but have to take care of two kids at the same time. All throughout this, my husband’s sitting on the couch and playing games.”
Verbal requests ignored
The woman said when she ranted about her husband’s behaviour to friends, they suggested that she bring it up to him to make him aware of the situation.
Unfortunately, every gentle reminder or request fell on deaf ears, leaving her deeply disappointed and frustrated.
I’m starting to feel like I didn’t marry a husband, but have taken on the responsibility of caring for a child who never grew up.

“Many think he’s a good husband, but to me and the kids, we’ve gotten used to him not being around often as it makes little difference.”
Divorce the only way out?
Given the situation, the woman said she’s seriously looking into possibly separating from her husband.
“I don’t need a roommate who comes home on time every day. I need a partner who is willing to raise the children with me, share the house chores, and build and maintain our family together.
“I really don’t know whether I’m asking for too much, or whether this is simply what marriage eventually becomes in the long run.”
