What was supposed to be a time of fellowship between a woman and her family ended in tragedy when she suddenly lost consciousness and subsequently passed away.
According to Sin Chew Daily and China Press, the incident took place at a kopitiam in Kuching, Sarawak, at around 2pm yesterday (Mar 8).
Not long after the woman passed out, other patrons quickly laid her flat on a plastic chair while her family members called for an ambulance.
Her face was also reported to be extremely pale at the time.
Medical personnel later arrived at the scene and placed the woman on a stretcher before rushing her to the hospital, but she was later pronounced dead upon arrival.
No official police statement was issued regarding the tragedy at the time of writing.
