“There are harder struggles than ours.”

Noting the danger of the overloaded motorcycle and the daunting journey that lay ahead for them, she initially approached to give the family some money.

“Just when I was about to offer them some Duit Raya because I saw how hard it was for them riding under such conditions, I realized that we often think our lives are tough, but there are always others facing even harder struggles,” Anis wrote in her post.

Having a change of mind, Anis offered to take the children in her car, providing them with a much-needed lift.

One hour ride

Speaking to WeirdKaya, Anis added that the incident took place around 3 pm on April 11.

And it took them 1 hour to follow their mother on the motorcycle back home, covering 60km in total.

Anis also shared that they tried to talk to the children in her car, but they did not speak much.

“The elder son is shy and quiet, and the younger one is still learning to speak.” She added.

Children in the back seat

The eldest child, perhaps embarrassed, quietly nestled into the backseat, his demeanour pulling at the heartstrings of Anis.

The youngest, overwhelmed by fear of a stranger, cried so much that Anis had no choice but to let him stay with his mother on the motorcycle; thus, she could only take the two older children.

“People always think they have it the worst,” she reflected, “but there are always others living in tougher conditions. We should learn to be more grateful and extend a helping hand to those in need.”
